We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

PAYROLL/ADMIN TRAINEE VACANCY

We have a vacancy for a full- time payroll assistant to work with our expanding payroll and tax department here in Canterbury.

Working with the team you will receive relevant training and assist our clients with their payroll needs.

The role will include the following:

  • Processing of time sheets from client information;
  • Processing of client payrolls on a weekly/ monthly basis;
  • Communicate with clients on their payroll queries;
  • General admin. duties associated with payroll and tax
  • Reporting to the payroll and tax supervisors.

We will provide training to help you with the role and also the after a period of probation, the opportunity to train towards the Payroll Professional qualifications.

Skills required for the role:

  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision;
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritise workload;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Competent working knowledge of MS Excel;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • At least a C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Sage payroll would be beneficial but not a requirement

ACCOUNTS/ AUDIT TRAINEE VACANCY

We are a well established firm in East Kent with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from individuals and sole traders through to international groups of companies and not-for -profit organisations.

We endeavour to provide our clients with a first-class service - helping our business clients to achieve greater profitability, and our individual clients to enjoy greater wealth.

This role involves working with the Business Services team, and we are looking for someone who has started their accounting qualifications or completed an accountancy related degree.

Job Description:

You will be working in a diverse role which will include the following:

  • Preparation of accounts for a variety of business and not- for-profit organisations;
  • preparation of VAT returns using accounting software such as Sage and Xero;
  • preparation of management accounts and assistance to clients with the book- keeping requirements and software queries;
  • to be part of the team for audit assignments;

Requirements:

Applicants should have started their professional qualification, AAT, ACA or ACCA or be graduates with at least a 2:1 accounting related degree, and with at least a C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).

 Candidates must be enthusiastic about a career as a qualified accountant and keen to take on responsibility.

The successful individual will have the opportunity to study or continue to study towards AAT/ ACA or ACCA qualification.
